A Place to Slow Down & Breathe It In
Tucked into the heart of Central Illinois, Camp Ziegenhorn is a family property with wooded grounds, a creek, a fishing pond, and wide-open skies. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful cabin weekend, tent camping under the stars, an RV getaway, a backyard-style wedding, or just a great spot to cast a line — the land has been waiting for you.
Ziegenhorn’s Timber has been shaped by nature and by family. It shows in every corner of the property.
Sleep Under the Trees
Our cabins are cozy, clean, and ready for family adventure. Built with knotty pine interiors, each cabin comes with a bunk bed, A/C, mini fridge, ceiling fan, covered porch, and a picnic table so you can enjoy a comfortable stay — without losing that rustic feel. Please bring your own bedding (sheets, blanket, and pillow).
Each cabin features a covered porch and picnic table so you can take your morning coffee outside and listen to the woods wake up. Because that’s kind of the whole point.
Pull In, Park Up, and Relax
Bring your rig and settle into the shade. Camp Ziegenhorn’s RV spots are spread across the property with plenty of green space and mature trees — the kind of setting that makes you want to stay an extra night.
Whether it’s a holiday weekend with the whole family or a mid-week escape, there’s room for your trailer, your chairs, your flag — and your dog. Please note that electrical hookups are very limited — generators are welcome.
Sleep Under the Stars
Pitch your tent among the trees and wake up to birdsong and fresh air. Camp Ziegenhorn’s wooded grounds give tent campers plenty of shaded, open space to spread out — whether you’re a solo adventurer, a couple, or a whole family crew.
Optional electric hookups are available but limited — generators are welcome. Add a fire pit for the evening and firewood is available on-site. It doesn’t get more back-to-basics than this.
The Grounds Are Built for Gathering
From intimate ceremonies to big family reunions, the open grounds at Camp Ziegenhorn provide a natural backdrop that no banquet hall can replicate. Bring your vision — the space will hold it.

Fishing on the Property
The creek and pond at Camp Ziegenhorn hold bass and other species year-round. No need to drive to a boat ramp — just grab your rod and walk to the water. It’s the kind of fishing that feels like it belongs to you.
Ziegenhorn’s Timber
The land tells its own story. Flowering catalpa trees, manicured lawns, ancient oaks, and views that stretch to the horizon. Come in spring for the blooms, summer for the green, fall for the color. It’s worth a visit in every season.
